In addition, for each of the scenarios, the novel read-out circuits lately proposed in the literature are compared with each other in terms of different performance parameters. For the sensors and circuits community, this review has a twofold benefit. On the one hand, this is a summary that identifies the pros and cons of the different circuits so as to correctly select the most appropriate alternative for a given application.
