Computational analysis, which uses advanced computing techniques to analyze biomedical images or data, is playing an increasingly important role and has already been adopted in some specialties, such as oncopathology, to improve diagnostic speed, refine prognoses, and identify targeted treatments while predicting therapeutic responses. Nephropathology will not escape these technological advances, which will likely transform its approach in the coming years. Abstract

With rapid advances in digital technology and artificial intelligence, the medical field is undergoing numerous changes, with innovations that are making medicine increasingly precise and personalized. Computational analysis, which uses advanced computing techniques to analyze biomedical images or data, is playing an increasingly important role and has already been adopted in some specialties, such as oncopathology, to improve diagnostic speed, refine prognoses, and identify targeted treatments while predicting therapeutic responses. Nephropathology will not escape these technological advances, which will likely transform its approach in the coming years. This review explores the progress of image analysis in nephropathology.
