Abstract
A novel approach for the synthesis of diverse substituted imidazoles and quinoxalines via an iodine-promoted cyclization reaction is described. The methodology showcases a broad substrate scope, achieving moderate to very good yields for biologically relevant imidazoles and quinoxalines.
