Abstract

The care of multi-disabled children in a facility remains complex, and their severe neurological impairment requires caregivers to constantly question their approach to care. Their stay in a facility is long, sometimes their whole life, which can lead to changes in their relationship with their parents. Their reactions in the presence of their families often differ from those observed with carers, with more smiles and positive expressions. Hence the idea of recording the parents' voices, to be used as a soothing support and to include the family more closely in their care. The impression of improved well-being among the children encouraged the caregivers to evaluate the project objectively.
