Abstract

This review finds that obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and eating disorders share significant epidemiological and psychopathological similarities, entailing diagnostic challenges and potential for delayed treatment. Recent research suggests that several biological features are also shared between the diseases. However, further research is needed to explore this connection in more detail. Clinicians must identify the psychopathological features to ensure accurate diagnosis and outcome.
