Abstract

It was not until the modern era that the mechanical typewriter was developed as a home printing device, with paper becoming the most important printing material. Then, in the mid-19th century, the digital revolution began, which today includes the main printing technologies for printing text, numbers and graphics for home use. Examples include 2D printers such as inkjet and laser printers. Then there are 3D printers for printing objects. The focus of this article is on the materials used, as well as the construction and operation. The subject is also ideal for teaching to different age groups.
