Abstract
It is essential for airports to identify potentially significant risks in order to mitigate the impact of climate change. However, the climate change risks encountered by different airports vary based on their geographical contexts. This study focuses on coastal airports, which are particularly vulnerable, and provides an informational tool for assessing risk by developing a comprehensive index framework and introducing a fuzzy matter-element model. Subsequently, Hong Kong International Airport was used as a case study. Among all the evaluated dimensions, the level of exposure risk is the highest, indicating the need to prioritize adaptation actions for risk receptors.
