Abstract
Interstitial pregnancies account for 2-4% of ectopic pregnancies. In the second trimester there is a risk of life-threatening rupture. Women with prior salpingectomy seem to be at increased risk. This case report is about a 30-year-old woman with previous salpingectomy presented with a live interstitial pregnancy, confirmed via ultrasound in the first trimester. She underwent laparoscopic surgery due to the risk of rupture. This highlights the importance of recognizing the risk in such patients and suggests reconsideration of the procedure to reduce the occurrence of interstitial pregnancies.
