Abstract

The content must be designed based on the competencies to be acquired and seek the best methodology to facilitate learning, considering the students' learning difficulties. Therefore, it is essential to identify learning obstacles, which often reveal growing diversity in classrooms. This challenge requires flexible teaching guidelines for effective and personalized instruction. The selection of content must consider not only the “knowing how to do,” but also “knowing” and “knowing how to be”, aiming for comprehensive education that prepares students both professionally and as committed citizens, while avoiding overtraining. In turn, the organization of the content should be oriented toward an integrated curriculum, eliminating unnecessary barriers between departments and subjects. The educational legislation provides a general framework that grants enough flexibility to make the necessary adaptations required by the dynamic teaching-learning process.
