Abstract
Hierarchical Hydrogel
In article 2400286, João F. Mano and co-workers develop a hierarchical structured platform based on embedding sacrificial microgels carrying necessary cargo, including cells and microparticles, within a hydrogel system. This approach creates liquefied pockets that facilitate free cell mobility and 3D microtissue organization while allowing independent control of micro- and macroenvironments. This system is suitable for injection or bioprinting of complex macro-sized structures for tissue regeneration applications.
