Innovative initiatives to improve access to education in urban slums: A critical review of mobile school education programs

Abstract

This research assesses the impact and effectiveness of Mobile School Education Programs in Indian slums. Quantitative success metrics are combined with qualitative narratives of children's aspirations to illuminate the transformative impact of these programs. The study's adaptive assessment framework significantly addresses the identified literature gap by analyzing and synthesizing the impact of these programs in Indian slums. The study examines accessibility, transformation, technology integration, and parental involvement. It underscores the importance of tailored alternative education models. Despite inherent subjectivity and acknowledged limitations, the findings provide crucial insights for refining programs and advocating policies for access to education in Indian slums.
