Abstract
This article responds to the study by Zhou et al. (2025) that showed high functional disability in schizophrenia patients in the Management and Treatment Services for Psychosis (MTSP) programme in China. To improve service quality, this article proposes integrating social skills training, adopting app-based technology, and developing community-based rehabilitation. These approaches aim to reduce social isolation, increase support flexibility, and strengthen social inclusion, thereby accelerating the recovery of schizophrenia patients in the community.
