Functional evaluation was based on the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS) Ankle-Hindfoot Scale and the Achilles tendon total rupture score (ATRS), along with local complications.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>None of the patients had sural nerve injury, infection or re-rupture at a minimum follow up of 12 months. At the final follow-up, the average AOFAS ankle-hindfoot score and ATRS were 95.5 and 90.0, respectively. Abstract

Purpose: Minimally invasive percutaneous techniques offer a promising alternative to open surgical repair of the Achilles tendon.
