The results obtained from immunological and electrophoretic studies indicate that shortly after fertilization the majority of Sp NHCP are lost. The electrophoretic patterns of NHCP obtained from unfertilized eggs were almost identical with those observed for NHCP isolated from zygotes. Abstract
