METS-IR was calculated from measures of fasting glucose, triglycerides, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), and body mass index (BMI). Multivariate regression analyzed the relationship between thyroid status and METS-IR after adjusting for potential confounders.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>Higher thyroid-stimulating hormone levels were positively associated with METS-IR (β = 0.003, 95% CI 0.001-0.004, p = 0.021). Subclinical hypothyroidism in males and subclinical hyperthyroidism in females showed significant correlations with higher METS-IR.
