The chirally twisted structures of the supramolecular polymers were confirmed using circular dichroism spectroscopy. Atomic force microscopy revealed that the (R)- and (S)-configurations of the binaphthyl linkers induced right- and left-handed helical structures, respectively, in the supramolecular polymer chains.
