Abstract
Sensitive Photothermal Gas Detection in a Fiber-Tip Cavity
Selective, parts-per-billion level gas-phase chemical detection is achieved within a fiber-tip cavity by harnessing the strong light-matter interaction in a small cavity mode volume. This remarkable detection sensitivity is enabled by an innovative dual-enhanced photothermal technique. The proposed method has the potential to transform fields such as biological analysis, battery diagnostics, molecular spectroscopy in quantum electrodynamics, and the investigation of microscale processes. See article number 2400907 by Sen Yang, Wei Ren, and co-workers.
