Abstract

A compact dual-wideband slot antenna with a simple structure is presented. A wide slot etched in a rectangular ground plane is fed by a T-shaped strip and a coplanar waveguide (CPW) transmission line for generating an ultrawide lower operating band. Then a narrow slot, which is embedded in the T-shaped strip, is fed by a microstrip line for introducing a wide higher operating band.
