Abstract

Identifying the power difference and phase shift of a phased array antenna (PAA) is essential in the PAA calibration. In this article, the ability of calibrating a PAA in a reverberation chamber (RC) is explored. Based on the proposed RC calibration system, the power and phase of each array element are measured in an RC. The relative power difference and phase shift are also calculated. The role of the mechanical stirrer is discussed. To verify the accuracy of the proposed method, we compare the calibration results with those obtained from the direct link method, and the measurement results are consistent.
