Abstract

The wet impregnation of additive manufactured aluminum oxide cylinders with platinum is investigated. The influence of five parameters on the penetration depth and the platinum loading is evaluated. A smaller penetration depth is obtained by increasing pH, sodium chloride concentration in the impregnation solution, decreasing impregnation solution volume, heating rate during subsequent calcination, and no vacuum during prewetting before the impregnation.
