Abstract
2D supramolecular polymorphism emerges in a cyanine system from a complex self-assembly landscape. Designed by Bartolome Soberats et al. (e202415774), the cyanine dye with two rod-like side groups initially forms nanoparticle-like aggregates, that transform into 2D H-type and J-type aggregates through thermal transitions. This study highlights the importance of understanding pathway complexity in supramolecular polymers to design photonic materials with customized morphology and optical properties.
