We here report a 39-year-old Chinese woman who was diagnosed with pancreatitis followed by vision disturbance. The patient was finally diagnosed with posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome. On the basis of this rare case, we analyzed the causes of visual disturbance and proposed diagnostic ideas.</p><p><strong>Conclusions: </strong>For posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome, early identification and treatment of the primary disease are particularly important. Abstract
