Among 3,182 TB treatment survivors, 233 (7.3%) had died as of December 31, 2019. The overall TB cohort age- and sex-adjusted SMR was 0.89 (95% CI 0.73–1.05). The SMR among US-born TB treatment survivors was 1.56 (95% CI 1.36–1.77). In the TB cohort, US-born status, HIV co-infection, excess alcohol use, diabetes mellitus, and end-stage renal disease were associated with increased risk for death after TB treatment. Abstract
