After the treatment, levels of fasting plasma glucose (FPG), 2-hours plasma glucose (2hPG), fasting insulin (FINS), 2-hours insulin (2hINS), and insulin sensitivity index (ISI) in both groups significantly decreased compared to pre-treatment levels (P<0.05), with no significant difference between the two groups (P>0.05). There was no significant difference in the total efficacy and the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05).Conclusions: The efficacy of LP and benazepril in treating hypertension with IR is equivalent. Abstract
