Abstract
Parallel experiments on creep-rupture and corrosion of Super304H were conducted at 650 ℃ in a simulated ultra-supercritical fireside environment to study the impact of creep stress on fireside corrosion. The corrosion products, corrosion pits, grain structure and phase composition, and surface cracks of creep-corrosion and corrosion samples were compared. Results show that stresses not only affect the formation and growth of corrosion products, but also widen the recrystallization zone in corrosion affected area. A model of surface cracking from corrosion pits under the synergy of fireside corrosion and creep stress was proposed.
