Psychological comfort and emotional closeness mediate the relationship between sincere social interaction and TCB. Tourists' self-construal moderates the impact of sincere social interaction on emotional closeness, and sincere social interaction indirectly influences TCB through emotional closeness. Abstract

Research on tourist citizenship behavior (TCB) has gained increasing attention. However, the influence of host-tourist interaction on TCB is yet to be thoroughly explored. Utilizing the social information processing theory, this study develops a dual-mediation model to examine the influence of sincere social interaction on TCB, considering the perspectives of “self” and “relationship”, and examining the moderating effect of self-construal.
