Furthermore, the study revealed that the leading weather variables for accident prediction are <em>wind</em>, <em>sea level pressure</em>, <em>visibility</em>, and <em>moon phase</em>. Abstract

The study explores the capability of various machine learning (ML) models in maritime accident risk prediction.
