Abstract

Two uncharacterized monoterpenoids (12) and six known analogues (38) were isolated from the fruit of Gardenia jasminoides. Their structures were determined by comprehensive spectroscopic data analysis, and the absolute configuration of 2 was elucidated by comparing the calculated electronic circular dichroism (ECD) spectrum with experimental ECD spectrum. Additionally, the results of preliminary activity evaluation indicated that these compounds showed slightly α-glucosidase inhibitory activity.
