The humus content in the soil varies from 1.42 to 2.34% (Table.1), there was an increase in the humus content over the years of the study. The content of nitrate nitrogen and exchangeable potassium in the soil is very low. Organic residues are decomposing in the turf horizons, so the content of mobile phosphorus is average. The content of carbonates increases from 0.68 to 1.12% over the years of research, the quarry soils are not saline, the cationic-anionic composition of the aqueous extract is chloride-sulfate. The structural condition of the quarry soils is good. Perennial herbaceous vegetation has a beneficial effect on the structural condition of the soils. The soil cover has been radically disrupted at the abandoned sand quarry, therefore, at this stage, vegetation and soils are gradually being restored. The soils of the abandoned sand quarry are at the stage of initial soil formation. Abstract

The article presents an analysis of the dynamics of soil cover formation in a technogenic territory.
