By using this system, the cleavage efficiency of CRISPR-Cas12a on hepatitis B virus (HBV)/D expression plasmid was evaluated, revealing a negative correlation between gRNA cleavage efficiency and HBV gene expression measured using an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.
