Comparative efficacies of the three echinocandins for Candida auris candidemia: real world evidence from a tertiary centre in India.

Failure to achieve microbiological cure (P = 0.018) and receipt of immune-modulatory therapy (P = 0.01) were significantly associated with increased mortality. Significant cost variation was noted among the echinocandins. Case reports are no longer accepted. In addition, studies of natural products showing inhibitory activity against pathogenic fungi are not accepted without chemical characterization and identification of the compounds responsible for the inhibitory activity.
