Abstract

Skin and soft tissue infections (SSTIs), and particularly diabetic-related foot infections (DFI), present diagnostic and therapeutic complexities, often leading to severe complications. This study aims to evaluate the in vitro efficacy of cefditoren and amoxicillin/clavulanic acid against typical DFI pathogens. Clinical samples from 40 patients with mild SSTIs were analyzed, revealing a predominance of Staphylococcus spp. and Streptococcus spp. species.
