Abstract
Language is a tool or means of communication used between humans. Language can also be interpreted as a system formed by certain rules, conventions, or patterns in sound systems, word forms, and sentence forms. Indonesian functions as a state language and national language. In life, language and communication are very necessary for every human being. Communication can take place verbally or in writing. Therefore, these two forms of communication require adequate language skills in order to produce effective and efficient communication. However, if we look at the construction of sentences, students still experience errors in using syntactic rules in sentences. This research aims to determine the syntactic analysis contained in an observation text in a Class X Indonesian language book. So in this research the author uses a qualitative descriptive research method. In this research, the author made observations or observations and syntactic analysis contained in the observation text in the Class X Indonesian language book. The data sources in this research were looking for sources from journals, books, articles that were related and relevant to the material.
