This review presents an overview of recent study within the past two years that evaluates the applications of ML in advancing biofuels technology. These studies are grouped into three distinct categories: Screening and discovery of new materials; optimization of process; decision-making. Abstract
Artificial intelligence (AI) including machine learning (ML) has played a leading role in advancing biofuel technology with applications ranging from product yield prediction, optimization of process conditions, and preliminary evaluation of economic and environmental impacts of biomass to biofuel technologies. This review presents an overview of recent study within the past two years that evaluates the applications of ML in advancing biofuels technology.
