Development of medical terminography in Russia in the 11th – 19th centuries

Abstract

This article examines the history of the emergence and development of medical terminography in Russia, the key stages of the formation of the terminological foundation, the establishment of the first medical dictionaries, and the influence of intercultural exchange. The research presents the importance of medical terminological dictionaries in training and preparation of medical professionals during that time, the evolution and maturation of the concept of terminography in Russia.
