Abstract

Executive functions (EFs) are crucial for academic achievement, physical health, and mental well-being. Previous studies using structural equation models revealed EFs’ developmental organization, evolving from one factor in childhood to three factors in adults: inhibition, cognitive flexibility, and updating.
