Abstract

Gilberto Lex Municipal School is considered a positive example for having achieved excellence indices in IDEB. However, this is a complex process that arises in a context of redefinitions of the school itself and its understanding of education, especially regarding the relationship that the student establishes with learning. Within this context, this work aims to understand the process of change in teaching practices at the school and how this change significantly impacts the indicators of large-scale assessments. To do this, we will conduct interviews with the families of the students and carry out a case study at the school to obtain data that helps us understand the high performance of the school through the implementation of project-based pedagogy.
