The latter may occur in association with HAM-TSP, more rarely along ATL, or as an isolated manifestation of the viral infection. The authors present a review of the literature on HU, illustrated by a clinical case. A literature search was performed in the MEDLINE database (PubMed) and included surveys completed until 2022.
