Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi, menghitung intensitas dan prevalensi parasit serta menganalisis kerusakan organ pada kerapu bebek yang diambil dari perairan Teluk Kupang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama bulan Juli 2023. Sampel ikan yang digunakan adalah ikan kerapu hidup yang ditangkap oleh nelayan, selanjutnya Ikan dibawa ke laboratorium untuk diamati gejala klinis morfologinya yang meliputi bentuk, kondisi tubuh ikan, warna, sirip, sisik dan insang. Pengamatan ektoparasit dilakukan pada lendir tubuh, sirip dan insang, sedangkan endoparasit diambil pada usus ikan. Preparasi histologi dilakukan pada organ insang dan usus ikan. Analisis histopatologi dilakukan dengan pengamatan secara mikroskopik pada masing-masing organ selanjutnya dibandingkan dengan gambaran histopatologi yang didapatkan dari referensi jurnal yang relevan yang mencakup struktur jaringan mikroskopik dari organ serta kerusakannya. Pada penelitian ini tidak ditemukan adanya gejala klinis morfologi, namun pada pengamatan ektoparasit dan endoparasit ditemukan parasit yang menginfestasi yaitu Anisakis sp. Intensitas ektoparasit Anisakis sp 0,67 ind/ekor yang artinya infeksi sangat rendah dengan nilai prevalensi 57,14% yang termasuk infeksi sangat sering. Nilai intensitas endoparasit sebesar 1 ind/ekor yang artinya infeksi rendah dan prevalensi 85,71% yang termasuk infeksi serangan sedang. Beberapa kerusakan jaringan insang yang ditemukan antara lain edema lamela primer dan sekunder, proliferasi sel mukus, clubbing, fusi lamela primer dan sekunder, adanya vakuola, telangiektasis, hiperplasia lamela sekunder, degenerasi lamela sekunder, lisis, kemunculan protozoa dan parasit. Sedangkan kerusakan pada usus yaitu nekrosis, edema, erosi vili, perlemakan, hemoragi, lisis, adanya vakuola dan kemunculan parasit dan protozoa.   Currently, the information about physiological responses of aquatic biota in Kupang Bay is still very minimal. This research aims to identify, calculate the intensity and prevalence of parasites and organ damage analyzed in Barramundi Cod Grouper taken from Kupang Bay. This research was carried out during July 2023. The sample of fishes caught by fisherman and taken to the laboratory to be observed for clinical morphological symptoms, such us shape, fish’s body, color, fins, scales and gills. Ectoparasites were observed in the body mucus, fins and gills, while endoparasites in the intestines. Histological preparastions were carried out on the gills and intestines. Histopathological analysis were carried out by microscopic observation of each organ and then compared with the image obtained from relevant journal references which includes the microscopic tissue structure and its damages. In this study, no morphological clinical symptoms were found, however, when observing ectoparasites and endoparasites, parasities was found, namely Anisakis sp. The intensity of the Anisakis sp ectoparasites is 0.67 ind/tail (very low infection) with a prevalence of 57.14% (very frequent attack). The endoparasites intensity is 1 ind/tail (low infection) and a prevalence of 85.71%, (moderate attack). Some of the gill tissue damage found includes primary and secondary lamella edema, mucus cell proliferation, clubbing, primary and secondary lamella fusion, vacuoles, telangiectasis, secondary lamella hyperplasia, secondary lamella degeneration, lysis, the appearance of protozoa and parasities. Abstract

Saat ini, informasi tentang respon fisiologis biota akuatik yang hidup di perairan Teluk Kupang masih sangat minim. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi, menghitung intensitas dan prevalensi parasit serta menganalisis kerusakan organ pada kerapu bebek yang diambil dari perairan Teluk Kupang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama bulan Juli 2023.
