The Establishment of the Institution of Criminal Law Defense against Illegal Activities on the Financial Market: Problem Setting

Abstract

The financial market, as the most dynamically developing sector of the economy, needs effective criminal and legal protection from illegal activities of unscrupulous professional participants. The Bank of Russia ranks them in 5 clusters: the insurance, lending, securities market, financial pyramids and investment platform operators. In these areas, the analysis of criminal legislation was carried out to determine the completeness of the formation of the institution of criminal legal protection of non-professional participants from criminal actions in the financial market.
