Results indicated that mean STAI-S and PSS reductions were not statistically significant between groups. No significant difference in mean change of RMSSD was detected when the BB Chinese music group was compared with the Chinese music or audiobook groups. However, students with high baseline trait anxiety experienced a greater, marginally significant reduction in STAI-S scores and an increase in RMSSD than those with normal trait anxiety after BB exposure.
