Travellers in Provence

Abstract

The author has for some years been working on a study of the food and food culture of eighteenth-century Provence, with a particular emphasis on Avignon and its neighbours. This survey of a principal source, travellers’ accounts of their visits to the region, is based on research for her forthcoming book, to be published by Bloomsbury.
