Latent means were not significantly different for women (<i>M</i> = 5.90) compared with men (<i>M</i> = 5.92). <b>Conclusions:</b> Findings suggest men are perceived as fit for nursing, but results are inconsistent with men's qualitative experiences. Future research should attempt to reconcile the disagreement.
