Abstract
Breast cancer in men is rare, accounting for less than 1% of all male cancers. It shares similarities with breast cancer in women, but also important differences. It occurs between 60 and 70 years with a peak age of 67 years. Invasive ductal carcinoma is the one that prevails in men, clinically it is detected as a painless unilateral nodule. Unlike women, where screening studies are carried out, men are usually diagnosed later, because they seek medical attention late due to the low incidence of cancer in male patients and the absence of early signs and symptoms. The diagnosis is usually clinical, but mammography can currently be used to differentiate between benign and malignant breast diseases. This article presents a clinical case of a man diagnosed with locally advanced triple-negative apocrine carcinoma of the breast.
