Abstract

Our analytical study underscores the significance of the role of social justice in shaping the attitudes of youth towards extremism and terrorism. The research indicates that social inequality, economic injustice, and other factors can act as sources of frustration and discontent among young people, thereby increasing their susceptibility to engage in extremist activities. Additionally, the study highlights the cultural and religious factors, as well as the influence of media, in either promoting or undermining social integration to confront this challenge. The study offers strategies and avenues to enhance social justice, including improving education and training opportunities, promoting cultural and religious awareness, and encouraging community participation. It emphasizes the crucial need to strengthen communication between the government and civil society to implement comprehensive policies targeting the improvement of economic and social conditions. The study aims to stimulate dialogue and collaboration across different sectors to bring about effective change that contributes to reducing the impact of social factors on the youth's inclinations towards extremism and terrorism, with a focus on balancing security and fundamental rights.
