Machine translation and its role in achieving the scientificity of the Arabic language

Abstract

There is talk in the present era about the machine translation project for the Arabic language, which is based on exploiting computer systems to process the language, especially after the latter has proven its responsiveness to computer systems. Accordingly, through this research, we seek to present the project of machine translation of the Arabic language, which is inseparable from the project of computerizing it, and the extent of its effectiveness in advancing it by achieving what is called the scientificity of the Arabic language, while presenting the most important automatic systems that have been presented to translate the Arabic language. The study concluded that development of the Arabic language cannot occur without subjecting it to the requirements of modernity, in addition to openness to international languages, and machine translation remains the best option for achieving that openness, as it is a window into global sciences and knowledge.
