Abstract
The raise of non-palpable breast and axillary lesions has led to the development of multiple diagnostic techniques. Each one with its own has advantages and limitations. Currently, the technique using magnetic seed has increased, leading to a decrease of the other one. The aim of this study is to assess the recent experience of different groups and analyse the arguments in favour of using magnetic seed as a diagnostic technique for non-palpable breast and axillary lesions.
A literature review has been performed on PubMed and EMBASE, including articles in English and Spanish from 2018 to 2022. No restrictions have been made regarding the type of study. Forty-three articles were selected, with contributions and experiences in different countries.
