Millets also possess anti-inflammatory properties, potentially alleviating conditions, like arthritis and asthma. They show anti-carcinogenic potential, possibly preventing various cancers' development through mechanisms, like apoptosis induction and inhibiting tumor growth. Moreover, millets offer hypolipidemic and hypoglycemic effects, beneficial for managing conditions, such as dyslipidemia and diabetes. Their high dietary fiber and resistant starch content regulate blood lipids and glucose, reducing the cardiovascular risk. Additionally, millets act as antimicrobials, inhibiting pathogens and serving as natural alternatives to synthetic antimicrobials.
