O podcast de audiodrama em resposta à nova demanda por escuta imersiva

Abstract

This article discusses the resurgence of podcasts in recent years as a response to the growing demand from the audience for productions that allow immersion in virtual worlds. Through the analysis of the podcast Homecoming (2016-2017), which we consider an example of this new moment, we approach elements acting as vectors of immersiveness, such as the expressive potential through sound language, complex narrative and interpretation. We associate such demand and the sophisticated form of production to the contemporary moment, when new listening habits are introducing, departing from the institutionalised traditions of terrestrial radio.
