Abstract

In the conditions of the new economy, human resources as carriers of human capital are one of the most important pillars of creating innovations and positively stimulating the performance of the economy. Much research has confirmed that, on the one hand, human capital and innovation are important stimuli for economic growth, but on the other hand, human capital and innovation interact with each other. Innovation is not possible without human capital, but also innovation affects human capital. Innovations require high quality and well-educated human capital. In our contribution, we focus on identifying the relationship between the development of human resources and the results in innovation performance of the economy in the Visegrad Group countries.
